What is a “Meal Period”?
"Meal periods” are the residential dining locations’ designated meal times. There are a total of 21 meal periods in a week in which a student can use a meal. This includes breakfast, lunch and dinner during weekdays, and continental breakfast, brunch and dinner on the weekends. Meal period times are defined as follows:
Students can only use one meal swipe per meal period, unless they have an Unlimited or Anytime Meal Plan.
Breakfast: 7:00am – 10:45am
Continental Breakfast (weekends): 9:00am – 10:45am
Brunch (weekends): 10:46am – 2:15pm
Lunch: 10:46am – 4:45pm
Dinner: 4:46pm – Close
Can I arrange for a meal if I am sick?
Yes. A student who is ill may arrange to have a meal prepared at one of the dining halls and have it picked up by a roommate or friend, per our Ill Student Meal Policy.
What are the “PLUS” plans?
Simply put, “PLUS” plans provide a student with an opportunity to increase their Points balance while receiving a 10% bonus.
A “PLUS” plan can be added to any of the available Resident Meal Plans as an upgrade for a cost of $150, however, the student’s Points balance will increase by $165 – providing a 10% bonus, or $15 for free. A Double “PLUS” plan can be added to any of the available Resident Meal Plans as an upgrade for a cost of $300, however, the student’s Points balance will increase by $330 – providing the same 10% bonus, or $30 for free. The additional $165 or $330 is in addition to the existing balance of Points that comes with the base Meal Plan option. These upgrade options offering the 10% bonus can only be added during the Drop/Add period at the beginning of each semester.
