University of Delaware Dining Services supports students who have food allergies and dietary restrictions by providing information that allows students to make informed choices in our dining locations. We take into account each individual student’s personal dietary needs and work together to provide reasonable arrangements so that all students may participate in the college dining experience.
However, the possibility for cross-contact still exists in a community dining setting like ours. Students should be proficient in the self-management of their dietary needs and are encouraged to work closely with Dining Services. The following services are available on campus to help you manage your needs:

Debbi Miller, R.D., L.D.N. specializes in making on-campus dining options work by helping students locate food they can eat, developing individualized menus and providing specially-prepared foods when the daily offerings do not meet students’ dietary needs. Available at the CR Fresh Food Company and Pencader Dining Hall, our True Balance station accommodates students with food allergies and gluten intolerances. Its menus have been designed to eliminate gluten, along with all eight of the most common food allergens: milk, eggs, crustacean shellfish, fin fish, tree nuts, peanuts, soy and wheat.
The menus at all of our locations are designed with health and wellness in mind and provide daily, made-to-order options that suit a wide variety of dietary needs. The CR Fresh Food Company, has dedicated vegan, OU-supervised kosher, and True Balance stations that provide specialized menu items.
Online menus & nutrition information
Our website gives students access to our menus, as well as nutrition information, ingredient lists and allergen statements. Nutrition information is also available at each station in our dining locations.
