Students Living On Campus
Students living in an on-campus residence hall are required to purchase an on-campus meal plan, except students living in University Courtyard or in family housing. These students are automatically assigned the 14 Weekly plan but can switch to an All Access or Block plan.
On-campus meal plans contain different balances of meals and points preloaded on your ONEcard. Meals allow entry into our three residential, all-you-care-to-eat locations -- centrally-located Caesar Rodney Fresh Food Company, Russell Dining on East Campus and Pencader Dining on Laird Campus. Meals can be used anytime throughout the day on your own schedule; they are not restricted to meal periods. Meals are also non-transferable and can only be used by the meal plan holder.
One point is equivalent to one dollar and points decline like money on a debit card. They are mainly used at on-campus retail locations and P.O.D. convenience stores. Beginning this fall, you will receive a 10% discount on all purchases made with points.
These meal plans also include meal exchange, which allows you to "exchange" one residential meal per day in either Trabant Food Court or The Scrounge, at select locations, during late night hours from 8 - 11 pm. Guest meals are used to treat a friend or family member to an all-you-care-to-eat meal.
Meals remaining at the end of a given week, or at the end of a semester, will expire. Points rollover within an academic year -- from fall to spring semester but expire after the final day of spring semester.
Students can add or change meal plans as many times as they want until the week prior to move-in weekend. After move-in weekend, students can request one change through the published deadlines of September 10 for fall 2019 and February 21 for spring 2020.
